Are micro plates waste of the time?

While I never use micro plates, I think that can be useful for a lot of people micro plates and for some people can be tremendously useful. While many conventional plates force you to increase the weight on the bar by 5 or 10 pounds with kg plates 2.25 kg at a time, micro plates allow for smaller, more manageable jumps such as ½ kg or ¼ kg. If your gym doesn’t have them, they can be bought relatively cheaply. Micro plates are small enough to bring in your gym bag if your gym does not have them.

Micro plates can be very useful for women on upper body exercise like bench and shoulder press because they can’t make such as huge jump because they generally have a weaker upper body than men. For many experience lifters these can be very useful tools because the stronger you become you may be only able to do little jumps.
